Flooring - Carribbean Heart Pine

Orleans Heart Pine Botanical Name: Pinus caribaea	Wood flooring is a natural product. Some variation in color and grain pattern will occur between samples, photographs and any specific installation.

Orleans Plank is factory finished Caribbean Heart Pine with a beautiful reddish brown stain that replicates the natural color reached after ageing. Our Caribbean Heart Pine is manufactured with the same precision as our hardwoods. End-matched with a long average length it is the perfect alternative to reclaimed heart pine. The long wearing aluminum oxide finish will provide years of care free beauty. Our Orleans Plank is a blend of pieces free of knots and those with some sound character knots. This blend is typical of Heart Pine used as floors over one hundred years ago. Color and Photosensitivity: Caribbean Heart Pine deepens in red color over time. Its color ranges from a golden to red brown heartwood, to lighter brown sapwood. Rustic grade has an even greater variation in color and grain. Janka Hardness Rating: 1,240 lbs. (564 kg.) by comparison Northern Red Oak's valued is 1,290 lbs (585 kg.) Stability: Width movement in a 5" face from one percent change in moisture content is between 0.013" and 0.015". By comparison Northern Red Oak's value is 0.0007" 0.017" Manufacturing Specifications: Moisture content 7% - 9%. Weight: 2.9 lbs./Sq.Ft.
Factory Finished - 3/4" solid flooring, tongue & groove with micro-bevel and end matched. Aluminum Oxide UV cured seven step finish. 25 Year wear-thru warranty.
