Robinson Lumber Company as a member of the International Wood Products Association, (IWPA), follows a clear environmental policy for the purchase of tropical wood and wood products. We believe in our responsibility and are committed to basing our commercial activities on sound principles of proper forest management. These principles have been outlined by the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), which we fully support.

The Appalachian Hardwood Verified Legal (AHVL) program provides assurance to hardwood lumber buyers that Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, Inc. members are a legal entity in the United States and adhere to the rule of law; products are legally sourced; and a third-party has audited the company to adherence to the standards. This program is designed to meet the basic demands of the international customers.

An independent, non-profit organization that protects forests for future generations. An open, membership-led organization that sets standards under which forests and companies are certified. Membership consists of three equally weighted chambers — environmental, economic, and social — to ensure the balance and the highest level of integrity.
