| Southern Chestnut is a very hard exotic wood with a striking appearance. Color and Photosensitivity: Brazilian Teak has a reddish brown color which varies from a medium to dark hue. It will darken slightly with exposure to light over a few months. Janka Hardness Rating: 3,540 lbs. (1,606 kgs.) By comparison, Northern Red Oak's value is 1,290 lbs. (585 kgs.)
