Ivens Robinson to retire

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana Robinson Lumber Company today announced that its President Ivens Robinson will retire later this year. This decision is part of a company wide plan for transition of operations to a new generation of management. Over the upcoming months Ivens will communicate with customers and suppliers on transfer of his responsibilities to other Robinson Lumber Company managers. After his retirement Ivens plans to pursue personal projects but will serve as an advisor to company management.

Founded in 1893, Robinson Lumber Company is a family owned company selling hardwood and softwood lumber, flooring, and related products in over 40 countries. Ivens’ nephew Garner Robinson, the first fifth generation Robinson working in the company, will assume additional leadership responsibilities, especially in the company’s tropical hardwood business. Expanding on his five years’ experience Garner will work with Ivens’ brother Toto and cousin Courtney to build on Robinson Lumber Company’s 120 years of success.
